I am an experienced Character-Costume Designer specializing in animation and video games.

I delve deep into the story's arc, the character’s motives and theme that holds the whole story together, meticulously researching every facet, from fashion history to world culture and the character’s psyche to help the audience connect to the characters and then present you and your team costume iterations. From capturing emotional nuances to depicting character growth from infancy to old age, whether it's wardrobe changes, complete costume transformations, or the intricacies of fabric behavior and underlayers, I ensure every aspect is meticulously addressed to bring your vision to life. I also bring specialized experience helping connect foreign cultures with an American audience through well researched costume design focusing on cultural symbolism. 

My expertise is featured in a book, "Talking Threads: Costume Design for Animation, Games, and Illustration", that I've co-written with 4 other costume design specialists. The book delves deep into the intricacies of costume design in various creative mediums and showcases the collective knowledge and experience of our team.

I also teach costume design at Laguna College of Art & Design in Long Beach, California. Through this role, I am able to impart my expertise and passion for costume design to aspiring artists and professionals, helping them develop their own unique creative voices in the field.
